I just want to run...

I dreamed of happiness for you were there with me.

Then you ran away, never knowing my reflections.

Forever I was chasing the shadow of your being,

Trying to rewind time and undo imperfections.

I spent too much time worrying about nothing and everything

while you sailed into the distance, away from me.

I don’t know if you’ll be back, to make my heart sing,

But for now, I’m here, alone, lonely.

Kind of shy about posting this here. It’s been a couple years since I’ve last written a poem, and I feel a bit rusty. Maybe I’ll write more frequently? Haha. :)
